Party in a Box

Last week we celebrated this little girl's birthday! It was a simple backyard party with family and friends. I called it "party in a box". We had school in the morning, then Madeline and I left at noon to shop at the party store. We bought balloons, decorations, and food in under two hours. Then we came home, cleaned the house, and had a party. I did miss baking and decorating her cake, but it was the first week of school and I just had to forego it this year. You can probably guess the theme Madeline chose. She never gets tired of her Hello Kitty. To think I teared up three years ago thinking she'd age out of her at any moment. At this point it's possible that they'll be besties at college.

Lydia wanted to decorate her own allergy free cupcakes.

For every ten berries she ate, she placed one on a cupcake.

Brooke was our official face painter!

Brooke's paint sampler.

I liked this party in a box concept. So low stress. Handmade what?

Grandmas!

 Wrestling cousins.

Sweaty buddies.

Lydia and her Gwen.

The boys snuck inside to play chess. No, really. They did.

Our baby girl! Happy birthday, our love.
